Chris Williamson has a podcast episode with Eric Weinstein, where Weinstein mentions something that I think phrases the whole situation rather nicely:

Here are some facts about Jeffrey Epstein and his connections:

• Ghislaine Maxwell’s dad, Robert Maxwell, was a Mossad agent.

• Robert Maxwell, the flamboyant media tycoon, was widely rumoured to be an Israeli intelligence operative, with ties to arms deals and political influence; his 1991 state funeral in Jerusalem—attended by Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir—fuelled speculation that Mossad may have even orchestrated his death to silence him. These shadows extended to Epstein through Ghislaine, who allegedly leveraged her father’s networks to connect him with global power players.1234

• In November 1991, the 22-stone Maxwell vanished naked from his luxury yacht Lady Ghislaine (named after his favourite daughter) off the Canary Islands, his body later found floating in the Atlantic—unmarked except for a shoulder graze, with slicked-back hair as if freshly groomed. Theories range from a drunken fall while urinating overboard to assassination by his Mossad handlers after he threatened to expose secrets when Israel denied him a bailout loan. Ghislaine was so shattered she collapsed upon seeing her mother, and the trauma arguably propelled her into Epstein’s orbit.56789

• Just weeks after his death, a £460 million black hole was revealed in Maxwell’s companies’ pension funds—he’d siphoned workers’ retirement savings to bail out his crumbling empire, leaving thousands destitute and sparking riots outside Parliament. His sons faced fraud charges (later acquitted), but the scandal branded him “The Robber Baron,” a legacy of betrayal that echoed in Ghislaine’s later denials of complicity.1011121314

• The financier’s Boeing 727 named Lolita Express ferried elites—including Bill Clinton on at least 26 trips—to his private island, where flight logs and survivor accounts paint a picture of mid-air grooming and assaults on underage girls, all under the guise of “philanthropy.” Ghislaine Maxwell was a frequent co-pilot in this aerial trafficking scheme.15161718

• Epstein’s Caribbean retreat featured a blue-striped “temple” with Greco-Roman columns, a golden dome, and a massive locking bar on the door—designed, per contractors, to trap people inside. Statues of young women dotted the grounds, and hidden cameras captured compromising acts, turning paradise into a blackmail factory for the ultra-rich.19202122

• Ghislaine orchestrated a self-perpetuating scheme where victims as young as 14 were lured with promises of modelling or education, then coerced into recruiting others—creating a web of over 100 girls trafficked across Epstein’s mansions. One survivor testified Maxwell normalised the abuse, quipping that Epstein “needed to have sex three times a day.”2324252627

• Epstein wired his properties with cameras in bedrooms, showers, and “massage rooms” to record elites in compromising positions—Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, and Donald Trump among those named in logs or books. Virginia Giuffre alleged it was a deliberate honeypot: “He said people owed him favours because of the tapes.” Rumours persist of Mossad-style kompromat funnelled through the Maxwells.2829303132

• Epstein’s 2008 “sweetheart” deal shielded co-conspirators like Maxwell from federal charges, despite FBI knowledge of dozens of victims—a protection racket that let the operation hum for another decade, until her 2021 conviction cracked the facade but left many “John Does” in the shadows.46474849
